About Me
Hey, I'm Jess! Originally from the Detroit area, I grew up loving theatre in all its various forms. I used to watch the "Make 'Em Laugh" scene in "Singin' in the Rain" for hours on end because I just loved watching Donald O'Connor jump around the set! My poor family couldn't get the song out of their heads for days. Once I reached high school, I really began to explore my passion for theatre and that led me to pursue my BFA in Musical Theatre at Central Michigan University, with a Dance Minor.
My mission as an actor is to foster the connection between the audience and artists both on and off stage. I believe firmly in the collaborative nature of theatre, with everyone using their unique abilities to create a product that everyone will be proud of. There are few art forms where the collaboration is so intimate and immediate; theatre is one of them, and that immediacy makes it such a distinctly unique environment to work within.
Outside of the theatre world, I enjoy coffee, writing, reading, and watching movies! Some of my personal favorites are Greta Gerwig's "Little Women", "Pride and Prejudice" and "When Harry Met Sally", and I LOVE to talk about them so if you love these movies too then we will be good friends. I've been known to be a very friendly and outgoing person, so I'd love to chat! Thanks for stopping by!
